Farley & Heller ‘Boys Own Summer Of Love’ Mixmag Cover Mix

Need something to soundtrack your weekend?

Our first house legend, Terry Farley along with his longtime production partner Pete Heller are responsible for Mixmag’s cover mix this month, to accompany their 30 years of House music feature.

Click the link below to listen to the full mix AND full rundown of each track from Terry Farley himself!…

Terry Farley, of course, will be the first of 3 house legends we have joining us to kick off our ‘House Legends at the Lord’ bank holiday residency series at LJR, starting Sunday 6th May.

Sound like it might be up your street? You can join the event group here

Hope you can make it. The last do we did at LJR was amazing. Such a great venue for COR. Proper intimate house party vibes where you’re practically face-to-face with the DJ on the dance floor. Really looking forward to this one.

Anyway, have a lovely weekend, hopefully see you soon!

Big love

Haçienda 30 The Album

To mark the 30th Anniversary of the legendary Haçienda in Manchester, friend of COR and Haçienda pioneer Graeme Park (soon to be returning to COR to headline our Future Space Disco party) has released with fellow Haçienda legends Mike Pickering and Peter Hook an awesome 3 disc retrospective of some of the highlights and underground classics that not only solidified the club’s well earned place in music history, but also helped sculpt the direction of how House music and the club scene developed in the UK and onwardly influenced music and culture across the globe. If you are even a little bit interested in House music and DJ history you need to check this post and grab an earful of this album. Just wicked. Well done chaps and thanks for what you did. Legends…

Intergalactic Graeme Park!!

Not long to go now until COR return with a HUGE intergalactic future space disco! So suppose we best let you know who we got lined up to take you into orbit!

Well, he did such an amazing job of bringing our COR tent down at Farm Fest we thought it only fair to the rest of the COR party contingent to invite him down to Southsea village so those who missed out the first time get to withness it for yourself!

Yes, that’s right, we loved him so much he’s coming back for more – ladies and gentleman, disco bunnies and COR scallies, it is our great pleasure to welcome back with us, the one and only living ledge that is Mr Graeme Park!!

Oh yes, this will be EPIC! More details to follow, including the amazing venue. Effin hell we’re excited about this! Hope you are too. Gonna be huge. Get to know and get involved.

Big Love.

Ashley Beedle’s Space Programme Podcast…

With the imminent visit of Ashley Beedle to COR’s GETTANO looming ever closer (Sat 27th Feb), we here at COR towers thought you might like to hear some of the man himself.

Those of you familiar with Mr Beedle’s work (and I know that would be a fair few of you!) will know that he is arguably king of crossing genres. Not satisfied contributing some of the House scene’s highlights over the years,  Ashley Beedle likes to dabble with disco, reggae, pop, acid jazz, rock and roll – the list goes on.

To showcase this genre spanning taste, Mr Beedle began last year to produce the start of a series of podcasts entitled ‘Ashley Beedle’s Space Programme‘.

These podcasts are essentially mixes by Ashley Beedle, laying out tracks from the many different genres he has an interest in.

You can grab an earful of part 1 and 2 below – Enjoy!
