Boxing Day means so much more than cold meat, mashed potatoes and pickles, it means the annual COR boxing day bash.
You know the score by now, ambience, decor, chunky tunes and this year will be no exception as we host a cosy little bash back at the wonderful Coastguard Studio in Southsea.
In common with our policy of giving it back we are keeping tickets at £5 and we are delighted to have the opportunity to welcome special guests Soul Divide to join us. Dan Back and Sam Bylett have been flying the flag for the Portsmouth house scene with a fabulous catalogue of releases and highly acclaimed live performances on the festival circuit and recently at the Ministry of Sound. Check them here: facebook.com/
We will have a second room for some chill out vibes and look forward to sharing some quality festive spirit with our lovely friends. Tickets are available by clicking through cordisco.co.uk/
Have a love Christmas you lovely lot. See you at the front Boxing Day!
The COR Fam.
Not sure whether you’ve noticed but.. COR is back!
Yes, after a short break, we are embarking on a series of small intimate parties which take us back 8 years to our original COR values; hosting intimate parties playing great music to our friends, charging no more than £5, the proceeds going to good local causes and our guests being DJ & promoter friends and acquaintances who have trusted us to play at their events.
So, we kick off with a return to the fabulous Coastguard Studio and will be joined by our very special guests Beechfields, Simon & Steve Arnoldi, brothers who are best known for their amazing work as founding organisers of FarmFest. For any of you FarmFest aficionados out there, you’ll also know Simon from his wonderful sets under the ‘FarmFest DJs’ banner.
We will be setting this up with the main room hosted by Leon, Mark & Rosko plus Beechfields and we’ll be having a room 2 chill out zone where Hoody and Laming will be playing vinyl; Hoody doing his soul thing and Laming playing some yacht rock and AOR. We will of course be adding our customary touches with lighting and decor you’v come to know and love to create that good old COR atmosphere.
Contact Mark, Leon, Rosko, Hoody or Laming for tickets and please don’t hang around because we want all of our good friends there. x
All the dets on the event page. Get to know and get involved.

Nancy Noise is our VERY special guest. The whole COR Fam will also be on disco duty across the 2 rooms. Funktion One sound throughout and full venue transformation.

You know how COR does it. Be part of it. Wake Up, We Need Each Other.
The COR Fam.
It’s traditional, COR on a boxing day, we love to have our annual shindig with our special group of wonderful friends in the heart of Southsea.
This year we take you back to the scene of one of our favourite parties as we return to The Kings pub in Albert Road. As always we’ll have the run of the entire place with Audio Feed’s superb Funktion 1 sound system upstairs and downstairs.
This year we are blessed and honoured to have as special guest a true legend of the scene, an Ibiza pioneer who is widely acknowledged as one of the finest house and balearic DJs on the planet, the fabulous Nancy Noise. We are so excited to have Nancy join us as we know she is going to love the COR crowd and enjoy the COR vibe.
Check out the great interview Faith did with Nancy here:
And check this out from Oi Polloi, a great mix Nancy put together, full of balearic sunshine:
And finally check this, it’s fabulous:http://www.theransomnote.co.uk/music/mixes/nancy-noise-leo-mas-talk-the-ransom-note-versus-mixes/
As always we’ll do a transformation job on the venue but you already knew that, eh.
Check out the COR Tickets website on for all the ticket info and be the first to bag yours now. Just 250 tickets will be available, and being boxing day they will fly. Get involved, don’t miss out and then we’ll all be very happy.
Hope everything else is cool in your world. Hopefully see you at the front soon!
Civilisation of the Rough.
In the time honoured tradition of pop up parties this is definitely one of COR’s best ever.
Not only have we lined up the Pyramids Terrace for our alfresco balearic beano but as if the solent scenery is not enough we’ve arranged for the Americas Cup yacht race to provide the panoramic backdrop for our soundtrack.
We cast off at 1pm with an afternoon of beautiful balearic beats before picking up the pace with an array of dubbed out disco and house as the sun sets.
We will have a chef on BBQ duty all day with fresh fish, butchers quality meat, and veggie options and of course we’ll have a well stocked bar and some surprise sunshine cocktails. The COR residents will be digging into their reserves of esoteric chill, yacht rock and balearic vibes, spinning tunes on rotation.
So, get the deck shoes on, pack the sun cream and treat yourself to a place on the terrace for some blissed out balearic times. No admission charge just get there early for a deckchair.
The COR Fam.
It’s been a long time coming. This is going to be special. Something completely unique.
The next COR event will be an Album Launch | Art Exhibition | Rave. We’re launching our second album ‘Afterparty At The End Of The Universe’ and exhibiting 7 years of COR artwork, as well as having a good old COR rave up, to mark the occasion.
Only 100 tickets, each receiving a copy of the album, so this really is a ‘If you don’t know get to know’ situation.
We’re not shouting very loudly about this one. If you want in, click the link cordisco.co.uk/get-to-know.
COR history in the making. Hope you can be part of it.
Just finished listening to the completed and fully mastered new COR album, and read the incredible accompanying sleeve notes. This is something special! Massive props to Leon Windsor and Barry Groovefinder Barnett for their efforts.
Album launch party/rave incoming.

Keep your eye on COR, we’ll not be shouting very loudly about this one.
The COR Fam had a truly amazing time hosting our very own underground disco rave tent at the awesome Victorious Festival 2014. With some VERY special heavy weight guests joining us to tear the tent a new door way – Joe’s Bakery Leeds, House Of Go Bang, X-Press 2 and Justin Robertson – it would have been pretty hard not too! The tent was chocker block with you lovely smiley lot for the whole weekend and it truely was a delight to see.
It all seems a long distant hazy memory now. So here’s our video of the weekend to rekindle a little bit of summer heat and funtimes this cold and dreary January.
Loads familiar faces in there, so if you see yourself, tag yourself. And your chums too!
Huge thanks to to the incredible Eric Downer Design aka Monk on Tour for putting this together for us. Also super massive props to the backroom boys and girls, Audio Feed, Lech Kaminski Robins Pyrolighting, Simon Bridgen and the very understanding COR wags, without who we could not have pulled it off (reey!).
Lots of exciting COR funtimes heading your way for 2015. Really hope you can be part of it once again. Keep your eye on COR, and if you don’t know, get to know.
Big appreciation for the fantastic COR crowd for making our Incredible Boxing Day voyage by partying hard. Thanks to our fantastic guests the wonderful Wolf Music: Stu Clark and Matthew Neale, cheers to Richard Neale for giving us the run of the Pyramids, big thanks to our ace VJ Simon Bridgen, our sound ledge Oz Jeffries of Audio Feed and James White Photography for the photos….2015 COR disco planning already in motion.
Click here for another set of ace photos from our Boxing Day party. Expect the usual- ravers, caners, the glamorous and the dishevelled. If you see yourself, tag yourself!
Next up COR DJ’s at the Belle Isle Southsea for a relatively chilled NYE balearic and house session. Would be lovely to see you.
Lots more COR coming your way in 2015. Sign up here to be the first to here about it.
Thanks again for making our Boxing Day bash amazing this year. Hope to see you all again very soon.
