Farm Fest 2017

We’re playing at Farmfestival Somerset in Bruton at the end of July! Cracking weekend down in the west country. Some old friends of COR Bill Brewster and Greg Wilson are playing too as well as a ton of other top DJs and acts. Roots Manuva headlining. Very much looking forward to it. There’s about 40 of the Portsmouth contingent heading along, if you fancy a bit of it there are still a few tix left, but they’re running low and will sell out. Get involved, it really is a lovely time. Big Love.

COR Boxing Day Rave Up 2016

Boxing Day means so much more than cold meat, mashed potatoes and pickles, it means the annual COR boxing day bash.

You know the score by now, ambience, decor, chunky tunes and this year will be no exception as we host a cosy little bash back at the wonderful Coastguard Studio in Southsea.

In common with our policy of giving it back we are keeping tickets at £5 and we are delighted to have the opportunity to welcome special guests Soul Divide to join us. Dan Back and Sam Bylett have been flying the flag for the Portsmouth house scene with a fabulous catalogue of releases and highly acclaimed live performances on the festival circuit and recently at the Ministry of Sound. Check them here:

We will have a second room for some chill out vibes and look forward to sharing some quality festive spirit with our lovely friends. Tickets are available by clicking through

Have a love Christmas you lovely lot. See you at the front Boxing Day!

Big Love.

Not sure whether you’ve noticed but.. COR is back!

Yes, after a short break, we are embarking on a series of small intimate parties which take us back 8 years to our original COR values; hosting intimate parties playing great music to our friends, charging no more than £5, the proceeds going to good local causes and our guests being DJ & promoter friends and acquaintances who have trusted us to play at their events.

So, we kick off with a return to the fabulous Coastguard Studio and will be joined by our very special guests Beechfields, Simon & Steve Arnoldi, brothers who are best known for their amazing work as founding organisers of FarmFest. For any of you FarmFest aficionados out there, you’ll also know Simon from his wonderful sets under the ‘FarmFest DJs’ banner.

We will be setting this up with the main room hosted by Leon, Mark & Rosko plus Beechfields and we’ll be having a room 2 chill out zone where Hoody and Laming will be playing vinyl; Hoody doing his soul thing and Laming playing some yacht rock and AOR. We will of course be adding our customary touches with lighting and decor you’v come to know and love to create that good old COR atmosphere.

Contact Mark, Leon, Rosko, Hoody or Laming for tickets and please don’t hang around because we want all of our good friends there.  x

COR Chart : Your Choice : Oct 15

Hello lovely COR Contingent, hope all is good.

We want to know how you score our COR chart selection!

So we are now having a monthly chart on our 1 Brighton FM Radio COR show. It’s a proper scored chart too.

Each of the COR Fam supply 2 tracks that are doing it for them that month, and we all score each of the tracks out of 10. The track with the highest score wins, and we count them all down from 10 on the Radio COR show. Brilliant.

But that’s not the end of it. WE WANT TO GET YOU INVOLVED!

Through the wonders of modern technology we can now find out how YOU would score the chart.

We invite you to listen to to that tracks and score them yourself, to see what you think of them first hand!

You can listen to the tracks and score them HERE.

We’ll post the results back on here and let you know on the next show how your scores stacked up again ours.

Should be fun!

Thanks for getting involved you lovely lot.

Looking forward to seeing what you think!

Big Love.

COR Balearic Terrace: THANK YOU!!

ac-flyer-thankyou-web1000What a day! There was a buzz on the terrace even before we were supposed to start playing (we started early). Unbelievably the weather was perfect! We were a little neverous as the day before was a total washout. But the Saturday was glorious and you lovely lot coming in droves!

Chilled terrace vibes played out to a consistently buzzing terrace all day, slowly building into a full on, hands in the air terrace party once the sun went down.

The COR Fam had an amazing day. Thank you. Such amazing feed back from so many of you. A common thread being “This space is amazing, why dont they this more often?”. So, how about we do something similar ever Friday?

Yup, the lovely people at the Pyramids have kindly invited the COR DJs to provide an afterwork sundown soundtrack each and every Friday until the end of the summer. So if you fancy a little more of the same, get yourself down and spread the word.

This week we the COR Fam will be taking a road trip to the wonderful Farm Fest for deck duties, so stepping in and stepping up will be Portsmouth faves The Monkeylove Stunt Team.

Here’s some photos and vids of the day, little reminder of the lovely time you had if you where there, or what you missed if you weren’t.

COR and their amazing Americas Cup All Dayer.

ac-flyer-01-web1000COR and their amazing Americas Cup All Dayer.

In the time honoured tradition of pop up parties this is definitely one of COR’s best ever.

Not only have we lined up the Pyramids Terrace for our alfresco balearic beano but as if the solent scenery is not enough we’ve arranged for the Americas Cup yacht race to provide the panoramic backdrop for our soundtrack.

We cast off at 1pm with an afternoon of beautiful balearic beats before picking up the pace with an array of dubbed out disco and house as the sun sets.

We will have a chef on BBQ duty all day with fresh fish, butchers quality meat, and veggie options and of course we’ll have a well stocked bar and some surprise sunshine cocktails. The COR residents will be digging into their reserves of esoteric chill, yacht rock and balearic vibes, spinning tunes on rotation.

So, get the deck shoes on, pack the sun cream and treat yourself to a place on the terrace for some blissed out balearic times. No admission charge just get there early for a deckchair.

Big Love.
